They are a really good group of girls with a lot of heart and a lot of drive. Hard night, but we will come back better next time.”

Sophomore Charlotte Hansell led the TigerScots (6-5 overall, 0-1 BMC) with  13 kills and eight digs, while Delaynee Angell added seven kills and 11 digs, Kylie Kramer 20 digs, and Mya Bryan 10 digs.

For the Mustangs (6-2, 1-0), Hallee Hisler led her team with 17 kills, 19 digs and two aces, while Ava Gerry added 23 assists, 11 digs, six kills and two aces. Maya Payne chipped in 15 digs, 14 assists, eight kills and five aces, while Katie Spivey added 26 digs, and Isa Payne had 23 digs, 13 kills and six aces.

“Wow, what a game,” Heppner coach Mindy Wilson said. “I am beyond proud of the strides my team has made this week. We prepared all week for this game and it showed. They battled every point and never gave up. We have really come together as a team.”
