PILOT ROCK 3, GRISWOLD 0 — Lillie Holman had eight kills and two blocks to lead the Rockets to a 25-14, 25-15, 26-24 Old Oregon League road win over the Grizzlies Oct. 8.
“We had a great all-round match tonight,” Pilot Rock coach Jen Porter said. “The entire team contributed and played aggressively offensively and on defense. They really fought hard in the third set. Griswold played really well and came back and took the lead, and we were able to turn it around for the win. I am so proud of them.”
Kashley Golden added seven kills for the Rockets (5-15 overall, 4-6 OOL), while Kessa Litfin had 12 digs six assists and four aces, Aubrey Crown had 11 assists and 10 digs, Coley Gibbs had 11 digs, and Abbigail Johnson had five aces.
Ellie Morris served at 100% for the Grizzlies (4-12, 3-4).
“We came out flat footed tonight and couldn’t build any momentum,” Griswold coach Kaitlyn Ferguson said. “We struggled to play our game until the third set, and just just couldn’t hold onto our lead.”
ECHO 3, NIXYAAWII 1 — Taylor Sperr and Kenzie Hendrix each had 10 kills to lead the Cougars to a 25-13, 25-16, 21-25, 25-16 Old Oregon League road win over the Golden Eagles.
Brooklynn Wade added eight kills for Echo (5-9 overall, 5-3 OOL), while Lilah Miller handed out 13 assists, Denya Valle had six aces, and Jacee James had 21 digs. Liana Higheagle led the Golden Eagles (1-11, 0-8) with eight kills, five aces, four digs and two blocks. Annalise Watchman added five aces, seven assists and five kills, while Brianah Matamoros had 10 assists, five kills and seven digs, Devon Spencer three kills and two aces, Neveah Moore four kills, and Addison Jones two aces and two kills.
