Walla Walla holds off Pendleton in five sets Oct. 12

Bucks win two to take control of match

WALLA WALLA —Nicole Somnis had 12 kills and Avery Brown added 10, but Pendleton fell short against Walla Walla 25-21, 16-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-12 on Saturday, Oct. 12.

After the Blue Devils won the first set, the Bucks (11-4 overall) won the next two to take control of the match.

The Blue Devils rallied back to win the fourth set to tie the match, then won the fifth set to secure the win.

Josie Jenness handed out 31 assists for the Bucks, who also got 13 digs from Finley Evans, and 11 digs and a 2.33/3 serve receive average from Nessa Neveau.

Adrianne Demianew was 21 of 21 from the service line with one ace.

Pendleton will host Nyssa and Ontario on Tuesday.
