Golden Eagles pick up first win

MISSION — Nixyaawii won its first match of the season with a 25-13, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22 win over the Pendleton JV2 team.

“The girls did an excellent job communicating and working hard to get the win against Pendleton’s JV2 team,” Nixyaawii coach Nina Watchman said. “Teata (Ellenwood) and I are super proud of the Eagles for putting in the work.”

Freshman Cryssa Kirk led Nixyaawii with six aces, two kills and four tips, while Liana Stewart had six kills and three aces, Naveah five kills and three aces, Annalise Watchman four kills, Devon Hall Spencer three aces and Brooklyn Jones three kills.

The Golden Eagles (1-2) will play Pine Eagle Friday in Halfway.
