SEASIDE — Pendleton’s Jack Reynolds turned in a time of 18:35.30 to finish third in the Division 3 hard course race at the Three Course Challenge on Saturday, Sept. 20. Reynolds’ time placed him 11th overall.
“He took about a minute off of his PR from last year,” Pendleton coach Maddy Naughton said. “He ran like a beast. All of our kids did outstanding. I’m really proud of them.”
The Bucks finished second in the team standings for Division 3 behind La Center.
Also for the Bucks, Khoda Brown ran a 20:19.80 in the hard course race with Reynolds, while Autry Robinson (8th, 19:25.20), Damien Vega (9th, 19:27.20) and Samuel Watrud (20th, 20:46) ran the moderate course.
Farley Hill (18:41.50) and Eagle Edmiston (18:57.40) were sixth and seventh on the Division 3 easy course.
The Pendleton girls were fifth in the Division 3 team standings, led by Evelyn Hays (7th, 25:05.60) and Rylee Jackson (12th, 26:04), who ran the hard course.
Marion Oliver (22nd, 27:02.70), Kimberly Tinoco (23rd, 27:13.70) and Ella Holtz (25th, 27:23.70) ran the moderate course, and Evie Christiansen (12th, 25:41.50) and Seely Hemphill (14th, 26:16) ran the easy course.
The Pilot Rock boys, who had an incomplete team, ran in Division 5, where Sun Schimmel led the Rockets, placing ninth in the moderate course race with a time of 20:07.40. Teammate Landon Norton was 48th with a time of 24:46.4.
The Pilot Rock girls, also in Division 5, saw Hailey Severe place sixth on the easy course with a time of 26:25.70, while Autumn Severe was 19th (29:51.20).
