Rockets take down Pirates

PILOT ROCK — Pilot Rock ended a three-match slide with a 25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 26-24 nonleague win over 3A Riverside on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

“We had a great match tonight,” PR coach Jen Porter said. “There were several long, exciting rallies. We had a true team effort. Everyone contributed and played as a team. I asked them to give their full effort and leave everything on the court, and they did. I’m very proud of them.”

Gracee Hemphill led the way for the Rockets (4-6) with eight kills and one block, while Jada Deist had six kills and four aces, Kessa Litfin six kills and 10 assists, Aubrey Corwin 14 assists, 12 digs and four aces, Kashley Golden 12 digs and one blocks and Coley Gibbs 19 digs. 

Jazzlyn Reyna led the Pirates (4-5) with 37 digs, seven assists and three aces, while Kasey Salgado had 48 assists and eight aces, Elaina Salgado 25 digs and seven kills, Kaylee Christy five kills, 10 digs and six aces, and Jessica Afanador four kills, three blocks, five digs and four aces.
