Weston-McEwen splits matches on the road

LOWELL — Charlotte Hansell had 17 kills, 16 digs, three aces and one block to lead Weston-McEwen to an 18-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11 road victory over Lowell.

Addy Hall chipped in 11 kills and 12 digs for W-M (4-6), while Reagan Pickard had 13 assists, 11 digs, seven kills, and Mya Bryan had 21 assists, 16 digs and three aces. “Charlotte and Addy had a strong performance in this match on the outside,” W-M coach Marie Cain said.

UMPQUA VALLEY CHRISTIAN 3, WESTON-MCEWEN 0 — The TigerScots gave the Monarchs a battle, but came out on the losing end of a 25-22, 25-18, 25-15 match at Lowell High School.

Charlotte Hansell had 12 kills and five digs for W-M, while Addy Hall had 13 assists, 11 digs and seven kills, and Mya Bryan 15 assists, seven digs and two aces.

“We struggled to settle in and take care of our side of the net,” W-M coach Marie Cain said.
