PENDLETON — Baker scored two goals in the second half to rally for a 2-1 Greater Oregon League win over Pendleton on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
“We unfortunately could not get in any sort of rhythm,” Pendleton coach Kiana Rickman said. “Baker did just enough to push us off kilter. It was a weird game from the start with five yellows and one on our team in the first 5 minutes. We played a lot more hesitant after that.”
Junior Ava Jackson scored for the Bucks (3-7-1 overall, 1-2-1 GOL) in the first half, while goalkeeper Citlalli Garcia finished with six saves.
Trailing 2-0 in the second half, Baker’s Khloe Van Dyken scored on a corner kick to tie the score at 1-1, and sophomore Noelle Quintela scored the game-winning goal on a free kick.
Goalkeeper Sadie Christensen finished with 18 saves for the Bulldogs (5-4-2, 1-1-2).
