IRRIGON — Weston-McEwen moved to 4-2 in the Blue Mountain Conference standings with wins over Irrigon and Stanfield on Saturday, Oct. 4.
“Proud of the girls to come back today and take two wins on the road,” W-M coach Marie Cain said. “We took care of our side of the net and served tough. Our two outsides had a very solid day and were aggressive at the net, and we had a solid defense.”
Weston-McEwen (8-8 overall) beat the host Knights 25-14, 25-11, 25-20, then topped the Tigers 25-15, 25-18, 26-24.
On the day, Charlotte Hansell had 23 kills and 27 digs, Addy Hall had 20 kills and 24 digs, Bree Perkins had 24 digs, Mya Bryan 20 assists, Reagan Pickard 24 assists and three aces, Bre Ward seven kills and three blocks, and Kayli Choin four blocks.
In the other match of the day, Stanfield (9-13, 3-3) beat Irrigon (10-8, 2-4) 21-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-19. No additional information was available.
