TigerScots split BMC matches

STANFIELD — Weston-McEwen had a rough day, splitting its Blue Mountain Conference matches Friday, Oct. 17, with Stanfield and Irrigon.

“We struggled today, all the way around,” W-M coach Marie Cain said. “We just did not play well and they took advantage of that. Too many errors.”

WestonMcEwen opened the day with a 18-25, 21-25, 28-26, 25-11, 15-13 loss to the Tigers.

“We lost the first two, then battled back and took the last three,” Stanfield coach Harlee Woods said.

As a team, the Tigers had 33 kills, 55 digs and 14 aces.

The TigerScots (12-10 overall, 7-3 BMC) finished the day with a 25-21, 25-18, 25-22 victory over Irrigon (11-11, 3-7).

For the two matches, Charlotte Hansell led W-M with 30 kills, 33 its and four aces, while Addy Hall had 15 kills, 29 digs and six aces, Bre Ward 11 kills and five blocks, Kayli coin three blocks, Bree Perkins 24 digs, Mya Bryan 36 assists, 16 digs and three aces, and Reagan Pickard 24 assists, 22 digs and three aces.
