“The girls played well tonight,” Pendleton coach Tim Foster said. “They played with good energy and were aggressive on both ends of the floor. We’ve been focusing on celebrating each other and having great bench energy, and they deliver on that tonight, too.”

Khimora Scott scored eight of her game-high 24 points in the first quarter as the Bucks (7-8) ran out to a 24-12 lead, then tossed in 12 points in the second as Pendleton stretched its lead to 43-13.

The Bucks controlled the second half with a 24-4 run, with Avery Quaempts leading the way with five points.

Rylee Jackson added 11 points for the Bucks, while Presley Greenwalt had nine and Quaempts seven. Ten of 12 players scored for Pendleton.

“We kept the ball moving on offense and a lot of the girls were involved,” Foster said. “Khimora knocked down open shots and got to the rim. We looked for each other inside and did a good job using the ball in transition. It was a good all-around win.”

Maddie Stiefel led the Pioneers (1-15) with six points, while Miley Rhoads had five.
