COVE — Nixyaawii took the lead from the start and never looked back in a 44-32 Old Oregon League win Tuesday night over Cove.
The Golden Eagles (7-10 overall, 2-2 OOL), took a 12-6 lead in the first quarter and led 17-12 at the half.
A 27-20 run in the second half helped the Golden Eagles secure the win.
Annalise Watchman led Nixyaawii with 13 points, while Liana Stewart added 11 and Cryssa Kirkie six.
Briley Beverage led the Leopards (4-13, 1-3) with 10 points, while Maddison Frank had seven. Cove hurt itself by going 8 of 24 from the free-throw line.
