JOHN DAY — Charlotte Hansell poured in 22 points to lead the No. 2 Weston-McEwen to a 54-37 Blue Mountain Conference win Saturday over Grant Union.
Hansell had eight of her points in the first quarter as Weston-McEwen (16-1 overall, 4-0 BMC) took a 12-9 lead.
The TigerScots, who have won eight games in a row, led 25-19 at the half, then went on a 19-7 run in the third quarter to pull away for good.
Reagan Pickard added 11 points for Weston-McEwen, while Lily Langford had nine and Brooklyn Parker six.
Haven Giffen led Grant Union (4-10, 1-3) with 14 points, while Rillie Mitchell and eight.
