MILTON—FREEWATER — McLoughlin had no answer for the inside presence of Jubal Hoisington and Garret Reinhart as Pendleton ran away with an 86-62 nonleague game Tuesday, Jan. 20.

“Milton-Freewater played hard even when they were down 20,” Pendleton coach Ron Murphy said. “Kudos to them. We had the height advantage and that was part of our game plan, and they (Hoisington and Reinhart) both executed pretty well.”
Hoisington had eight of his 15 points in the first quarter as the Bucks (7-10) jumped out to a 22-9 lead. Jalen West scored seven of his 15 points in the second quarter as Pendleton stretched its lead to 44-22 at the half.
Reinhart scored 11 of his 17 points in the third quarter as the Bucks and Pioneers each scored 25 points.
Tucker Brunot, who led all scorers with 27 points, had 16 of his points in Mac-Hi’s 25-point outburst in the third.
“Garret went to the rim and that’s what he needed to do,” Murphy said. “That was good to see.”
Pendleton outscored Mac-Hi 17-15 in the fourth for its second win in a row.
Zane Emery adde 13 points for the Bucks, who had four players in double figures.
“Eleven of 12 guys scored, which is awesome,” Murphy said. “I’m proud of everyone’s effort tonight.”
Matthew Humbert added 17 points for the Pioneers, while Randall Montgomery had five.
