Rockets rally to beat Redsides
MAUPIN — No. 10 Pilot Rock (13-3) went on a 24-6 run in the fourth quarter to rally for a 58-44 nonleague win Thursday over South Wasco County.
Tied 11-11 after the first quarter, SWC went on a 12-9 run in the second for a 23-20 lead at the half. The Redsides had a 38-34 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Sun Schimmel had nine points, and Tate Thacker had seven in the Rockets’ dominating fourth quarter.
Schimmel finished with 22 points, while Thacker had 18, and Boston McCall and Gage Williams each had six.
SWC (12-2), which saw its 10-game win streak snapped, got 17 points from Jason Hull and 14 from Rowen Huff.
