BAKER CITY — Weston-McEwen’s Jace Dunlap and Cason Pettyjohn were invited to play for the East Team in the 75th annual East-West Shrine All-Star Football Game on July 25 at Baker High School.
Players for each team will report to camp on July 19 at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. The days leading up to the game will be filled with practices, tours, barbecues and a parade the morning of the game.
Other local players invited to play for the East Team include Caleb George, Landon McMahon and Owen Guerra from Heppner, Mack Murdock from Echo and Derek Miller of Union.
Dunlap, a defensive end for the TigerScots, had 35.5 tackles, 4.5 quarterback sacks and two fumble recoveries. He was first-team all-conference selection as a defensive lineman,
Pettyjohn, a first-team all-conference offensive lineman, held the line and helped open holes for the TigerScots to score 238 points. He also was a second-team defensive line selection.
Coaches for the teams have not been announced.
