PENDLETON — Pendleton had four champions and came out on top of the team standings at the Buckaroo Girls Wrestling Tournament on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Warberg Court.
The Bucks compiled 139 points, with Riverside second at 125.5, College Place third with 72.5, and Irrigon fourth with 41.
In a round-robin format, Pendleton’s Tinley Foster won the 125-pound title, pinning Riverside’s Allie Schuler in 42 seconds. She lost by fall to College Place’s Paige Moore in 5:01.
Thiri Dahl won the 170B title, pinning Irrigon’s Ashley Villanueva in 32 seconds, and Riverside’s Yamileth Hernandez in 3:23. Hernandez finished second.
At 190, Pendleton’s Harlee James pinned all three of her opponents, starting with Raygan Nelson of Irrigon in 36 seconds. James then pinned teammate Rosalie Siegmund in 1:32, and finished with a 49-second pin of Yarely Hernandez of Riverside. Siegmund placed second.
Gabby Kennedy was first at 235, winning her only match by fall over Irrigon’s Cinthia Madrigal in 2 minutes.

Devin Scott was second for the Bucks at 135, winning two of her three matches.
Madison Chase was second at 170, winning two of her three matches, but lost to champion Rebecca Glenn of Riverside by fall in 1:54.
Also for the Bucks Jayda Preston (115), Alyce Phelps (125A), Hazel Case (135), Cheyenne Loomis (155) and Peyton James (170) were all third.
Riverside had five champions on the day, starting with Leiliana Lissman at 100 pounds. Lissman pinned Aaliyah Anderson of College Place in 1:52, and teammate Clarissa Hernandez in 3:16. Hernandez finished third.
Kamila Rangel won the 100B title, beating teammate Bella Martinez by technical fall 182, and by fall in 5:08.
Adalia Chavez captured the 115-pound title winning both matches by fall. She pinned teammate Aylin Hernandez in 25 seconds, and Pendleton’s Preston in 58 seconds. Hernandez finished second.
At 125A, Megan Wiseman won the title for the Pirates with a 1:35 pin of Pendleton’s Phelps, and a 15-4 major decision over Roxy Solis of Irrigon. Solis finished second.
Also for the Pirates, Clarissa Hernandez (100) was third, and Selene Arriaga (155) was fourth.
Irrigon’s Sara Akers finished second at 155, winning two of her three matches. She pinned Pendleton’s Loomis in 1:51, then pinned Riverside’s Arriaga in 20 seconds. Akers lost her final match to Brooke Hodgen of College Place 13-2.
Also for the Knights, Emma Macomber (135) and Nelson (190) were fourth.
