ONTARIO — Pendleton evened its Greater Oregon League record at 1-1 with a dominating 67-15 win Friday night over Ontario.
“It was another solid outing tonight,” Pendleton coach Tim Foster said. “The girls locked in on defense and we were able to get out in transition for some easy baskets.”
Khimora Scott scored nine of her 24 points in the first quarter as the Bucks (8-8 overall) jumped out to a 20-7 lead. A 15-2 run in the second gave Pendleton a 35-9 lead at the half.
The Bucks, who sat their starters in the fourth, used a 32-6 scoring spurt in the second half to leave no doubt.
Presley Greenwalt added 11 points for Pendleton, while Rylee Jackson had 10, and Katelyn Boatman and Shaylor Fisher each had eight.
“They did a good job of moving the ball and Presley and Him had it going from the outside,” Foster said. “When they are both on like that, we are tough to stop. Rylee had another well-rounded game, and Katelyn and Shaylor played well inside. We’re seeing some good growth that is going to help us down the stretch.”
Jaelyn Ramos paced the Tigers (0-16, 0-2) with seven points, while Carla Lopez-Navarrete had six.
