PENDLETON — American Megha Ganne won her first Epson Tour title Sunday, beating Cholcheva Wongras in a two-hole playoff at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic at Wildhorse Golf Course.

Tied at 19 under par (197) after the third round, Ganne and Wongras each made a birdie on the first playoff hole; Ganne then shot par on the second, while Wongras made a bogey. 

Ganne won the trophy and a $37,500 check. Wongras earned $23,479.

“She played some fabulous rounds of golf,” Gary E. George, CEO of Wildhorse Resort & Casino, said of Ganne. “She came from two strokes back, took the lead and held on to win. It was an impressive performance on a challenging course set up by the Epson Tour.”

Ganne, who shared the first-round lead with Mirabel Ting, shot a 66 in the final round, which included nine birdies. Wongras shot a 68 on the day, featuring one eagle and made only one bogey through the entire weekend. 

Wongras, from Thailand, started the day sharing the lead and made a critical par on the final hole of regulation play to force a playoff. 

Both Ganne and Wongras are in their first year competing on the Epson Tour. Ganne’s win qualifies her to compete in the Tour Championship in October, where LPGA status will be in play for both golfers through the Tour’s Race for the Card season-long points competition.

Americans Samantha Wagner and Laura Wearn, and Kajal Mistry of South Africa, tied for third at 199, and each earned $13,696. Wearn shot a low round of the day at 64, with two eagles.

Last year’s Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic champion, Erika Hara of Japan, is now a rookie on the LPGA Tour.

The Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic will return in 2027.
