Bucks split matches at North Marion tourney

AURORA — Pendleton finished 1-1 at the North Marion Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 20, beating Baker and dropping a match to Burns.

The Bucks opened the day with a 1-0-1 record in pool play, beating Tillamook 2-0 and splitting with Philomath.

In bracket play, Pendleton beat Baker 25-22, 26-24 before falling to Burns 25-15, 23-25, 15-6.

On the day, Finley Evans had 45 digs, while McKinley Lieuallen had 14 digs, Caitlin Cooley handed out 54 assists, Kelsi Primus had 18 kills, Avery Brown had 17 kills, MJ Gomez had five aces, and Avery Brown chipped in seven solo blocks and four block assists.
