MADRAS — Pendleton got goals from three players, and goalkeeper Citlalli Garcia had 12 saves in a 3-0 nonleague win over Madras on Saturday, Sept. 20.

“With injuries and sickness, we had one sub on a hot day,” Pendleton coach Kiana Rickman said. “Proud of the girls for their grit today and through a ton of travel this week.”

Presley Greenwalt scored off an assist by Noemi Alvarez to open the scoring for the Bucks (2-3), followed by Ava Jackson, who scored off a stopped shot by Presley. Chais Surber finished the scoring.

“Madras was a great matchup for us,” Surber said. “We’ve had some obstacles recently but this game shows the hard work we’ve been putting in practice. Our team had higher energy, and our offense and defense is connecting better than our first few games. We did an amazing job keeping composure and fighting for the win. Each game, we just are just improving and I’m excited to see our growth as the season continues.”
