Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center moving into next phase of vaccinations with two-day event

MISSION – The CTUIR and Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center are moving into the next phase of vaccinations, making them available to all CTUIR staff and residents of the Reservation on Feb. 23 and 24 at Wildhorse Resort & Casino.

A vaccine registration was sent out via email to all Tribal employees by Interim Executive Director Chuck Sams, who noted the vaccinations will occur “while supplies last.”

“The clinic is moving into the next phase of vaccinating and is beginning to vaccinate others,” it said in a release. “Note, the number of vaccines being offered are limited and appointments are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.”

The second shot will be administered approximately 21 days after the first, which would be March 16th or 17th. An email will be sent out to schedule the appointment.

The release noted appointments could be called into the designated vaccination line at (541)240-8733.

“Leave a message and we will call you back,” the release stated.

Yellowhawk previously vaccinated health care workers, first responders and CTUIR elders over 55. Only ages 16 and older are eligible.

Proof of employment such as a pay stub or employee badge, or proof of Umatilla Indian Reservation residency are asked to be brought to the appointment.
