MISSION — Frank Edward Ball Sr., 90, a member of the Klamath and Modoc Tribes and a U.S. military veteran, died Jan. 16. He was born Aug. 30, 1935.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 20–21, with traditional observances.
On Jan. 20, the family will hold a private preparation at 1:30 p.m. at Burns Mortuary, which will not be open to the public. Following preparation, the family will transport Ball to the Longhouse. Those arriving during this time are asked to remain in their vehicles and follow the procession, as requested by the family.
At the Longhouse, a viewing will begin at 3 p.m., followed by the Last Dinner at 5 p.m. Washat will follow at 7 p.m. Late-night sandwiches will be served afterward.
On Jan. 21, the Final Seven will be held at 7 a.m. at the Longhouse. Burial will follow at Olney Cemetery.
After the burial, all are invited to return to the Longhouse for the Crying Ceremony, final meal and giveaway.
