PENDLETON — Pendleton opened its season with a 6-0 sweep of Four Rivers on Tuesday in Special District 5 action.
McKinley Moore got the Bucks started with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Alyson Hernandez at No. 1 singles. Olivia Allen followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Peyton Villanueva, and Kamryn Matteson beat Rhi Raymond 8-1.
The Falcons gave the Bucks a challenge in doubles, but could not take a match off the Bucks.
Isabelle Bernier and Hannah Morioka topped Alison Castro and Alexus Sorenson 6-1, 7-6 (7) in the No. 1 match, and Avery Pitner and Madelyn Gunter won the No. 2 match with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Sophie Delucio and Catalina Carlson.
In the final match, Pendleton’s Emily Pattison and Miracle Edmiston beat Anna Sophia Moreno and Alexa Martinez 8-6.

FOUR RIVERS 5, PENDLETON 2 — The Bucks won two singles matches, but the Falcons dominated the rest of the match for a Special District 5 road win.
Pendleton’s Sam Larsen defeated Eduardo Navarro 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 at No. 3 singles, and Will Larson followed at No. 4 singles with an 8-4 victory over Abe Paredes.
Adam Harrison put up a fight at No. 1 singles before falling to Four Rivers’ Andy Villa 6-3, 6-4.
At No. 2 singles, Elijah Grimaldo defeated Pendleton’s Caden Crowder 6-1, 6-3. The Falcons dominated the doubles matches, giving up just six games over the three matches.
