Pendleton girls win The Dalles Invite

THE DALLES — Pendleton’s top four girls placed in the top 15 as the Bucks won the team title at The Dalles Girls Invitational on Tuesday at The Dalles Country Club.

The Bucks had a 424 to finish one stroke in front of Dufur, and six in front of third-place Madras (430).

Dufur senior Tygh Timinisky took medalist honors with a 79, while Rachel Pippin of Valley Catholic was second (81) and Pendleton’s Sophie Nelson was third with a 94.

Also for the Bucks, Brinley Curtiss was ninth (105), Kennady Alvarado was 12th (110) and Emma Ware finished tied for 15th (115).

Boys golf

Landon Neistadt shot an 8-over par 80 to finish third overall and lead Pendleton to second place at the HRV Invitational on Monday at Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River.

Lincoln won the team title with a 324, while the Bucks had a 345. Sandy was third at 362.

Lincoln sophomore Mateo Gramstad took medalist honors with a 72, with Kaden Frediani of Sandy second with a 79. Also for Pendleton, Garret Reinhart tied for fourth with an 82, followed by Sheldon Joseph (13th, 88) and Cole Sazue (22nd, 95).
