ATHENA — Third-ranked Weston-McEwen opened the game with a 22-6 lead and never looked back in handing Irrigon a 66-24 Blue Mountain Conference loss Saturday night.
“That is a really good team, to say the least,” Irrigon coach Fernando Sanchez said. “Back to work. We picked up some bumps and bruises, but we will work it out, ice up and get back to work.”
Weston-McEwen (14-1 overall, 2-0 BMC) extended its lead to 39-12 at the half, and had a 59-18 lead after three quarters.
Reagan Pickard led four TigerScots in double figures with 17 points, while Charlotte Hansell had 15, and Addy Hall and Brooklyn Parker had 14 points each.
Alivia Gridley led the Knights (7-5, 0-2) with 12 points, while Avery Pantoja had four.
