Pendleton falls to Baker in final game

PENDLETON — Pendleton closed out its season Thursday with a 1-0 Greater Oregon League loss to Baker, honoring their six seniors on the night.

“I am extremely proud of the ladies,” Pendleton coach Katherine Ryder said. “They left everything on the field tonight. We lost 1-0, but it was probably our best game of the season. The girls fought hard, but we just couldn’t find the back of the net.”

Goalkeeper Autumn Severe finished with six saves for the Bucks (4-9-1 overall, 2-6-1 GOL), while Presley Greenwalt had seven shots on goal, and Ava Jackson had 10.

“We definitely outshot Baker,” Ryder said. “We came so close to scoring.”

Pendleton honored seniors Jackson, Avery Tynkila, Khimora Scott, Maddy Gunter, Isabelle Bernier and Ivanka Edwards before the game.
