MISSION — Kash Bronson poured in 25 points to lead Nixyaawii to a 69-50 Old Oregon League win Friday over Griswold.
“We played really tough at times, but it was just a couple of minute stretches that hurt us,” Griswold coach Chris Peters said. “Eli Boatright hit a couple of big 3s to pull us close in the third, but we ran out of gas in the fourth.”
Griswold (8-7 overall, 1-1 OOL), which trailed 40-28 at the half, put together a 19-10 run in the third to pull within 50-47 heading into the fourth quarter.
Bronson scored 12 of his points in the fourth quarter as the Golden Eagles went on a 19-3 run to secure the win.
Irvin Stewart added 15 points for Nixyaawii (7-9, 2-1), while Cashis Bevis had 11 and Keli Spencer seven. Camp Kinnaman led the Grizzlies with 19 points, while Ethan Harlow had 17 and Boatright 10.
