THE DALLES — Dillon Elrod had 24 points, and Pendleton posted its fourth victory in the past five games with a 62-56 nonleague win over The Dalles on Saturday afternoon.
“Great team effort today,” Pendleton coach Ron Murphy said. “Guys stepped up that needed to step up. Zane (Emry), Jalen (West) and Dillon were senior leaders today and we needed their effort. Proud of the bench guys.”
After holding a 26-22 lead at the half, the Bucks (6-10) found themselves trailing 4238 after the Riverhawks went on a 20-12 run in the third quarter.
Elrod scored 11 of his points in the fourth quarter, and Emry added nine as Pendleton outscored The Dalles 24-14 to secure the win.
Emry added 17 points for the Bucks, while West had 14, and Cole Sazue came off the bench to add five.
Oliver Stevens led The Dalles (8-8) with 17 points, while Calder Morrison and Bryson Cates each chipped in 13.
