PENDLETON — It’s been a week since Pendleton has been on the volleyball court, but the Bucks haven’t lost a step in beating The Dalles 26-24, 25-18, 17-25, 25-21 on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Warberg Court.
“Our offense was tough tonight and we came up with some amazing digs,” Pendleton coach Jodi Primus said. “We missed some serves and had a few rough serve receive patches, but we were determined to win tonight. We pulled together and battled through the rough spots together.”
After winning the first two sets, the ninth-ranked Bucks (6-2) dropped the third set to the No. 6 Riverhawks (4-3) before rallying back to win the fourth set and the match behind a team effort.
Caitlin Cooley handed out 31 assists, while Avery Brown had 12 kills with a 57% kill percentage, five solo blocks and five block assists. MJ Gomez had 11 kills with a 50% kill percentage, and Kelsi Primus had eight kills.
Braelyn Gunter had four aces, while Sophie Nelson had four solo blocks, Finley Evans 33 digs and McKinley Moore 16 digs.
