ATHENA — Kelsi Primus had 12 kills, and Avery Brown added 11, as Pendleton handed Weston-McEwen a 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 nonleague loss Monday, Oct. 6.
“It wasn’t our cleanest play tonight, but Weston-McEwen had some tough serves in the second and third sets that pushed us,” Pendleton coach Jodi Primus said. “We did a good job of maintaining our composure even when the score got tight, and staying focused on our game and what we needed to do and improve.”
Brown also had four block assists and one solo block for the 4A fourth-ranked Bucks (11-3), while Caitlin Cooley had 14 assists, Maryn Broker 11 assists, and McKinley Moore led the team in service receive with a 2.4/3 average.
For the 2A 10th-ranked TigerScots, Charlotte Hansell led her team with seven kills, while Addy Hall had five kills, Bre Ward four kills and Bree Perkins seven digs.
“Enjoyed some good volleyball tonight,” W-M coach Marie Cain said. “The girls got to work against a solid team.”
