BAKER CITY — Pendleton and Baker played to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Baker Sports Complex in a key Greater Oregon League matchup.
The top two teams in the league advance to the 4A state playoffs, with four at-large berths available. Baker (4-6-1 overall, 2-1 GOL) sits second in the league standings behind Ontario (3-0), while Pendleton is third (1-2).
Baker’s James McCall scored to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the first half, only to see Pendleton storm back with a goal by Grayson Mead before the half for a 1-1 tie at the half.
The score would stand until the end of the game.
Goalkeeper Thor Case finished with seven saves for the Bucks (3-7-1 overall).
“A defensively strong game with confidence going into the end of the season,” Pendleton coach Evan Brandhagen said.
The Bucks will host McLoughlin on Thursday.
