Yellowhawk awards scholarships

MISSION – Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center (YTHC) granted $1,000 scholarships to three Tribal members for the 2021-2022 college school year.
Recipients of the scholarship were Alex Nilo, Brynn Cody, and Larysa Burright, enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
For the past 11 years, YTHC has granted a total of $15,220 in scholarships to Tribal members pursuing a degree in healthcare, finance, facilities management, risk management, or a degree that would apply to YTHC operations, as per eligibility requirements. Eligible recipients had to either be a senior in high school, or a current college or university student with a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
